Over many years we have built up a relationship with a number of key developer clients who recognise that as a firm we are able to provide a full development consultancy service. From inception through to completion of the project.
Development is not for the faint hearted. By definition with risk comes reward – it is all about understanding risk and mitigating against the many risk elements with each individual development project.
Locally we recognised the opportunity of acquiring the Mall on High Street, obtained vacant possession, secured planning permission, let it to Wildwood, project managed the redevelopment of the building and sold the investment to a pension fund. We work closely with clients to bring forward development and add value to their portfolios. In Lincoln examples include The Cornhill Quarter, M&S Food Hall and The Range on Tritton Road, as well as a number of industrial and office projects. Further afield we oversaw the development of a major health facility in Plymouth, are taking the lead on apartment schemes in Fulham and South London and have just bought land for a client in Coventry for a mixed use development.
Banks Long have clients who are particularly well funded. More often than not bank finance is not required. Our clients will look at all opportunities. For example we are working with a good quality housebuilder in Leicestershire and Northamptonshire who requires capital investment – joint ventures are one of our specialities.
We are actively seeking opportunities in all areas across the UK across all sectors whether it be a small conversion project, working up a planning permission on surplus land or a much larger scheme. We can appraise opportunities normally within 48 hours of introduction and work on a totally confidential basis.
Our door is always open to new ideas! We are happy to pay fees on successful delivery – a good development project will not rise and fall on the payment of fees to the professional team!
