The Brief: A new build development comprising 23 two-bedroom apartments in Lincoln’s West Parade commenced on site in October 2019. The new apartment block, designed by Stem Architects, will feature a collection of luxurious, modern flats offering picturesque views of the city which the client is intending to rent.
Banks Long & Co Solution: Banks Long & Co have provided Quantity Surveying and Party Wall services on the project and worked with the design team to ensure that the client maximised value for money and ensuring that a quality product was still provided. As the client intends to rent them long term the ethos has very much been to ensure that the lifecycle and maintenance of products were considered as much as the initial cost.
Solar panels, EV chargers and facilities for future battery storage were installed, following the developer’s request that the flats be ‘future-proof’. Banks Long & Co ensured these specifications were incorporated with cost efficiency as a priority throughout.
The Results: With plenty of interest and anticipation surrounding the luxury, modern flats, Carruthers Court is on track for completion in May 2021.
