Pride in the job
Banks Long & Co has welcomed the arrival of a new food store to Lincoln.
The company is proud to have been involved from the outset through to completion of the M&S Food Hall at the Moorland Centre Retail Park, off Tritton Road.
Banks Long & Co Managing Director Tim Bradford said: “We worked closely with M&S to identify a suitable site in the city for this Food Hall.
“The Moorland Centre site provided the ideal location and, through our specialist knowledge within the retail sector, we were able to negotiate commercially-viable terms with M&S for a new build 16,000 sq ft store.
“Once planning permission was granted, our Building Surveyor Director Simon Bridge project-managed the development for Lincolnshire Co-op. Mr Bridge also oversaw Lindum Construction as the company delivered the new build on time.”
The store and 26-seater café, which opened at the end of November 2017, has provided employment for 60 people. There is also parking for 270 cars.
“This exciting addition to the Moorland Centre Retail Park has provided shoppers with extra choice and it will also help to attract extra footfall to other retail and leisure businesses in this part of the City.
“We are now working on the next phase of development following the closure of the Downtown store” added Mr Bradford.
