The Brief: The RAF Benevolent Fund is the leading charity of the Royal Air Force - and is a welfare charity that provides practical, emotional and financial support to the RAF's serving and former members.
In 2001, Banks Long & Co were asked to act on behalf of the Fund to carry out planned maintenance schedules across its growing property portfolio.
In the 20 years since, Banks Long & Co has become the regional retained surveyor for the RAF Benevolent Fund, with the firm now responsible for the property acquisition, surveys and inspections of all many sites within its portfolio.
Banks Long & Co Solution: Banks Long & Co work closely with the Fund, operating alongside occupational therapists to provide the required accessibility facilities, support and services across its portfolio.
The firm manages acquisition surveys, planned maintenance schedules and ad-hoc repairs. Specific site adaptations include the installation and maintenance of accessible kitchens, showers rooms, sensory gardens and ramped access for tenants and beneficiaries.
The result: The RAF community is at the heart of Lincolnshire, and Banks Long & Co is proud to have been working alongside the Fund for over two decades.
In the last 20 years, Banks Long & Co have provided surveying services at over 95 properties across the East Midlands.
