The Brief: The David Ross Education Trust is a network of primary, secondary and specialist educational academies throughout the UK.
The Trust is recognised as one of 11 system leaders nationwide. Its academies focus on “developing strong communities and providing students with outstanding opportunities that inspire and engage”.
Over two consecutive summer holiday periods, Banks Long & Co project managed and quantity surveyed the scheduled maintenance and repairs of 13 schools in 2019, and 6 schools in 2020, across the Lincolnshire region and beyond.
The works included both small and larger-scale maintenance, ranging from roof repairs to classroom refurbishments and boiler replacements.
The Approach: Banks Long & Co’s approach prioritised the safety of the contractors, building, and most vitally, the students.
By only using high-quality, dependable contractors within the firm’s network with experience of working in a school environment, Banks Long & Co ensured all systems and processes were adhered to.
The Results: A combined approach of quantity surveying and project management meant the works were completed efficiently and safely in the allocated time period. All repairs were completed successfully on time for pupils to return for the next academic year.
